The Australian cricket team has been in India for more than two months. They didn’t do well in the ODI and T20I series, but they did win the ODI World Cup. Now, they are getting ready for their upcoming matches at home against Pakistan and the Windies, starting on December 14th.
Meanwhile, India is gearing up for their next games in South Africa against the Proteas. The series includes 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 2 Tests, and it’s set to begin in a week.
Suryakumar Yadav: The series was great. The boys played really well, and I’m happy with how they showcased their skills. We aimed to be fearless and enjoy the game, and they did just that. I encouraged them to do what’s right and have fun, and they did. Missing Washington Sundar was a bit of a setback. Chasing big scores is easier in Chinnaswamy, but 160-175 is tricky. After 10 overs, I told the team that we still had a chance.
Ravi Bishnoi | Player of the Series: In the first match, I didn’t get to bowl much. I focused on executing my plans, keeping it simple by bowling stump-to-stump. Looking forward to the South Africa series, it’s a different challenge, and I’ll adapt quickly.
Axar Patel | Player of the Match: Today’s game was enjoyable. The wicket suited me, and after a couple of games, I found my rhythm. Bowling with Ravi Bishnoi is great; we complement each other, and I hope our partnership grows.
Matthew Wade: Despite bowling well, we couldn’t chase the total. The last few overs with the bat were disappointing. My role in the upcoming World Cup will be crucial, working with Tim David and Marcus Stoinis. I aim to contribute in tough situations. Though we missed the win tonight, the series taught us a lot. Players like McDermott, Behrendorff, Dwarshuis, and Sangha had a significant impact. These conditions were tough, and we faced a real challenge.

Arshdeep Singh: In the first three overs, I felt I gave away too many runs, and I was worried if I’d get another chance. Luckily, I got the opportunity and managed to defend the score. Thanks to God and the team staff for believing in me. Surya told me to give it my all in the final over. We had a cushion of 15-20 runs, which was more than enough. My performances in this series weren’t up to the team’s standards, but I’ve learned a lot and hope to come back stronger.
Shreyas Iyer: It’s great to see everyone contributing, especially in batting, from the first game. Arshdeep showed composure in the last over, and I’m impressed with his calmness. When we lost three wickets, I started thinking about the best score on this tough batting wicket. It wasn’t easy, but we assessed the conditions well and batted as a team. Scoring 160 was commendable, considering we lost four wickets early, and the bowlers did a good job restricting the opposition.
